Amit shah to stalin: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Sunday (8 June 2025) that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government will be formed in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal in 2026. Shah targeted the state’s DMK government by making new allegations of corruption, including sand mining scam worth Rs 4,600 crore. Addressing the party officials, he described Madurai as the city of ‘Parivartan’ and said that the BJP worker conference in this temple will bring change and Dravida will be evicted from power. The Home Minister said that Chief Minister MK Stalin claims that Shah cannot beat DMK and he is also right in a sense. He said, “Shah will not defeat DMK, rather the people of Tamil Nadu will bring change.” Shah said that he has participated in elections across the country and understands people’s pulse. Shah said that he is confident that the people of Tamil Nadu will uproot the DMK government this time.
Shah alleged that the poor, women and children of Tamil Nadu have been affected under the corrupt rule of DMK. He urged the members of his party to take a pledge to evict the DMK government led by Stalin. Shah said that the Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) scam could have been made at least two classes in each school in Tamil Nadu with an amount of Rs 39,775 crore. The Enforcement Directorate had recently searched the Rs 1,000 crore TASMAC scam. Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation is an alcoholic drinks corporation operated by the state government. He said, “The DMK government has crossed all limits of corruption … The DMK government was involved in a sand mining scam worth Rs 4,600 crore, which has severely affected the lives of the poor.”
‘I challenge Stalin ji that he …’
Amit Shah accused the Center of scam in connection with the Rs 450 crore nutrition kit program and said that a private company was given a contract, which led to corruption. The Union Home Minister challenged Stalin to tell whether he had fulfilled the election promises of the DMK made in the year 2021. He said that the DMK government has proved to be ineffective, which has failed to fulfill the 60 percent of the promises mentioned in its manifesto. Shah said, “I challenge Stalin ji to give clear and transparent details of promises made to people.” Apart from this, many people have lost their lives due to corruption prevailing in the sale of illegal liquor, especially the weaker sections. ”Last year, 66 people lost their lives in the Kallakurichi liquor tragedy. He said that in the 2026 assembly elections, the BJP-Anadramuk will form the NDA government in Tamil Nadu and people will beat the DMK in the 2026 elections.

Amit Shah said that the DMK government has failed 100 percent. Citing the election victory in Odisha, Haryana, Delhi and Maharashtra, Shah said that 2026 will be a year of change for Tamil Nadu and West Bengal. Shah said, “The NDA government will be formed in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal in the year 2026.” Shah said that the BJP government at the Center provided Rs 6.80 lakh crore in 10 years, yet Chief Minister MK Stalin asks what the Center has done for Tamil Nadu. Prime Minister Modi increased the pride of Tamil Nadu by giving a proper place to ‘Sangar’ in Parliament. He alleged that crime and drug trade in Tamil Nadu is increasing, but Chief Minister Stalin remains indifferent. He said that the DMK Sarkar has tried to call “the thirupapranakundram hill of Lord Muruga a Alexander hill”.
Amit Shah’s charge- DMK promotes violence
Shah further alleged that DMK in Southern Tamil Nadu is promoting caste -based violence for political gains. He wondered why the DMK government does not teach medical and engineering in Tamil language. Shah said that terrorists killed innocent citizens in Pahalgam, but under the decisive leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the armed forces successfully ended the terrorists in their house. He said that after ‘Operation Sindoor’, when the tricolor journey was taken out all over the country, Tamil Nadu’s participation was no less than any other part of the country. Shah in his address bowed to Madurai Meenakshi Amman and regretted that he could not speak in Tamil language. He appreciated freedom fighter Pasompon Muthuramalinga Thevar.
