Rahul dravid on bengaluru stampede: Former captain of the Indian cricket team and former head coach of Team India, Rahul Dravid has spoken on the Bangalore stampede for the first time. Dravid also played for RCB in IPL. Dravid has reacted to the death of 11 people in celebration of RCB’s first winning IPL title. He described the Bengaluru stampede as unfortunate and tragic.

On the death of 11 people in a stampede in Bengaluru, Rahul Dravid said, “It is very disappointing. Very sad. My condolences with them.” Dravid further said, “This city is fond of sports. I am from this city. People here like not only cricket but also the rest of the games. Here people here also follow and like the football team and kabaddi team.”

Dravid, a resident of Bangalore on the stampede in the title celebration, said, “Fans of Royal Challengers Bangalore are in large numbers. This is a very unfortunate incident. I have condolences to the families and injured of those killed in the incident.”

Let us know that a large number of people gathered near Chinnaswamy Stadium to celebrate the next day of RCB’s IPL 2025 winning title and to visit the team and trophy and 11 people died due to stampede. In order to fix accountability for this stampede, the state government also suspended many top police officers. Marketing and Revenue Head of RCB Nikhil Sosh has also been arrested.

On the deaths in the stampede, the Karnataka government had announced to give Rs 10 lakh to his family members. However, now the amount of compensation has been increased. Now the state government will give Rs 25 lakh in compensation to those who died. At the same time, the franchise RCB has also announced to give Rs 10 lakh to those who died.
