PM Modi Cyprus Visit: What new geo-political equations are being formed in the Mediterranean Sea region due to the conflict between India-Pakistan and now Iran-Israel. This question is because Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also going to Cyprus on two day-to-day journey on 15-16 June while going to the G-7 summit. India and Israel’s close relations are not hidden from the world. During Operation Sindoor, India used the Israeli drone against Pakistan tremendously. Prime Minister Modi’s name was at the top of the global leaders of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after attacking Iran.
Cyprus supports India on the issue of Kashmir and terrorism
Cyprus has always stood with India on the issue of terrorism and Kashmir. In 1998, when India conducted a nuclear test in Pokhran, Cyprus was still standing with India. India has also been in favor of solving the Cyprus problem under the provisions of the United Nations and under international law. While Türkiye stands with Pakistan, India has emphasized on strengthening its relations with Cyprus.
The Turki and Cyprus dispute is decades old
Cyprus is a Mediterranean island south of Turkas, west of Syria and northwest of Israel. Greek and Ottoman minority live in Cyprus. There has been a long racial dispute between the two communities. Turki had delivered drone consignment after Pahalgam massacre

Many travel agencies have stopped booking for Turki. In such a situation, PM Modi’s plan to go to Cyprus is being considered as a big diplomatic step of India.
