India’s Wholesale Inflation: This is a relief news for the general public. The wholesale inflation in the country has come down to the lowest level of 14 months. Due to this, food items have become cheaper. If you look at the month basis, then the food inflation rate has come down from 2.55 percent to 1.72 percent in May. Manufacturing products which was the wholesale inflation rate reduced from 2.62 percent to 2.04 percent.
Manufacturing WPI has come down from 2.62 percent to 2.04 percent, while the wholesale inflation of potato has come down from 24.30 percent to -29.42 percent.
Wholesale inflation decreased
Onion was reduced by 0.20 percent to -14.41 per cent to onion. Similarly, the inflation of vegetables was reduced from -18.26 percent to -21.62 percent. While the WPI -0.29 percent of meat, fish and egg has come down to -1.01 percent. The wholesale inflation of fuel and power was from 2.18 percent -2.27 percent.
