UPSC CSE Mains Exam 2025: There is an important news for the youth dreaming of going to civil service. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started the registration process for Civil Services Main Examination 2025. Candidates who have passed the preliminary examination can now apply for the main examination by visiting the Commission website upsc.gov.in.
14161 candidates were qualified
UPSC recently released a list of 14161 candidates, who have passed the Prelims (Prelims) held on 25 May 2025. Now it is mandatory for all these to apply to appear in the main examination. The last date for application is 25 June 2025, so candidates will have to complete the application with all the documents in time.
When will the main examination be?
According to the official calendar of UPSC, the Civil Services Main Examination will be held from 22 August to 26 August 2025. This time a total of 979 vacancies will be filled for high positions like IAS, IPS, IFS through UPSC CSE.
How much will the application fee be charged?
The application fee for general category and OBC category candidates has been fixed at Rs 200. While women, SC, ST and PWBD category candidates have been given full exemption in fees. Those candidates who need a question paper in accessories, writers (scribe) or big letters, they can update the related information during this form.

Necessary information for those who change the name
Candidates whose name is different from the matriculation certificate or those who have recently changed the name, can also upload gazette notification along with the application.
