Raja raghuvanshi case update: All the five accused of Indore businessmen Raja Raghuvanshi murder case will be produced in the district and sessions court of Shillong on Thursday after their eight -day police custody is completed. A senior police officer said that the five accused, including Raja’s wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, will be produced in the District and Sessions Court of Shillong on Thursday, where their police custody will be demanded further.

“We need police custody of all the accused for further inquiries about the case,” the official said. Raja Raghuvanshi (28) and his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi (24) went missing a few hours after checking out from a homestay in Nongriyat village in Sohra (Cherrapunji) in East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on May 23.

After the arrest, all the five accused Sonam and four others, his alleged lover Raj Singh Kushwaha (21), Anand Singh Kurmi (23) Akash Rajput (19) and Vishal Singh Chauhan (22) were produced in the District and Sessions Court of Shillong on 11 June. The court sent all the five accused to police custody for eight days.

Sonam and Raja were married on 11 May

Sonam and Raja were married on May 11 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and reached Meghalaya on May 20 via Guwahati for a honeymoon. The mutilated body of Indore businessman Raja Raghuvanshi was recovered from a ditch under the Wei Savdong parking lot in Sohra-Charapunji area of ​​East Khasi Hills district on 2 June.

The king’s body was found after eight days

The couple met the popular tourist destination of the northeastern state eight days after ‘missing’ during their honeymoon tour. After the recovery of the king’s body, the Meghalaya Police formed the Special Investigation Team (SIT) and arrested all the five accused in the murder case, changing his investigation.
