Hema malini post on national reading day: Every year on June 19, ‘National Reading Day’ (National Readings Day) is celebrated, which is the famous Kerala teacher P.N. Is dedicated to Panikkar. On this special day, actress and MP Hema Malini shared a picture on Instagram, in which she is seen reading a book. Through his picture, he gave a message to people that the habit of reading is beyond age or profession. Also honored Panikkar’s legacy.
Hema shared her tension on Instagram
In the photo shared on Instagram, Hema Malini is seen sitting on the couch comfortably reading a thick book. There is a glimpse of peace and focus on his face. Through this picture, he gave a message to promote the habit of reading. He said that books are not only the source of knowledge, but can also become a medium of spiritual balance.
Sharing her picture, Hema Malini wrote in the caption, “I have always maintained an active life. Sometimes, in the midst of this busy life, I like to read spiritual books, which helps me to join the motives of my life and the purpose of my life. I feel relaxed in reading the books.
The actress further wrote, “Therefore I fully support a campaign called ‘India Reeds India Rise’, which has been started by my friends Rita Ramamurthy Gupta and Meenakshi Lekhi.”
At the end of the post, he wrote the verse of Sanskrit- ‘Pathatu Bharatam, Vardhatam Bharatam.’ This means ‘read India, India grow.’
Message given for books and education
Panikkar is known as ‘Janak of the library movement of India’. He believed that education and books are the biggest key to the progress of any person and society. He inspired people to read and due to this thinking, the first public library started in Kerala in 1945. After this, a major campaign of libraries started in the entire state. To honor his contribution, ‘National Reading Day’ was declared on 19 June 1996. On this day, people are motivated to participate in activities that promote books reading, buying and reading.
