Raja raghuvanshi murder case: The Meghalaya Police has arrested a real estate businessman from Indore on charges of hiding evidence of the famous King Raghuvanshi murder case. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police of Indore Rajesh Dandotia said that the Meghalaya Police has arrested real estate businessman Shilom James of Indore for hiding the evidence of Raja Raghuvanshi murder.
Police sources said James is accused of disappearing the bag of Sonam, the main accused in the murder and the wife of Raja Raghuvanshi, which he hid in a flat in Dewas Naka area of the city after this incident. According to sources, there were important evidence related to the murder in this bag.
Flat was given a flat to accused Vishal
Sources said that the flat in which this bag was hidden in the city, James had rented Vishal Chauhan, who was among the five arrested accused in the murder. James operates a firm of real estate management in Indore. On June 13, he himself came in front of the media and claimed that Chauhan had met him on May 30 and rented a flat in the Dewas Naka area of the city at Rs 17,000 per month and Chauhan had signed the contract for this.
Sonam was hidden in this flat for several days
Sources said that when the Meghalaya police reached this flat in search of evidence, it got this flat empty. According to sources, Sonam, who returned to her hometown Indore from Meghalaya after Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, was hiding in this flat for several days. He said that later Sonam reached Uttar Pradesh from Indore via a taxi and surrendered late night in front of the police in Ghazipur district.
Apart from his wife Sonam, his wife Sonam, who went to Meghalaya for a honeymoon in the murder murder on May 23, was arrested, three friends of his alleged lover Raj Kushwaha and Kushwaha, Akash Rajput and Anand Kurmi were arrested. The five accused are currently lodged under judicial custody in a jail in Meghalaya.
Missing on 23 May
Significantly, King Raghuvanshi went missing on May 23 during a honeymoon in Meghalaya and his mutilated body was found on a deep ditch near a waterfall in the Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district (also known as Cherrapunji). King Raghuvanshi’s family is associated with the transport business. He was married to Sonam on 11 May in Indore and he left for Meghalaya for a honeymoon on 20 May. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) of the Meghalaya Police is investigating the case of murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in detail.
