Writing on his official X handle, Swami Prasad Maurya tweeted, describing the incident as extremely condemnable, "In Etawah, I strongly condemn the misdeeds and gruesome Nanganach done by the Brahmins with Yadav Bhagwatacharya. This made it clear that the contractors of Hinduism do not consider Scheduled Castes, Tribes and Backward Castes as Hindus. In fact, it is a Brahmin religion, which has become the basis of the business of Brahmins." He demanded that immediate action should be taken against the culprits and the BJP government should respond to this unconstitutional act.

After the incident, local leaders of Samajwadi Party, including MP Jitendra Dohra and MLA Raghavendra Gautam met the victims and demanded action from the Superintendent of Police. Akhilesh Yadav himself warned that if strict action is not taken against the culprits, then they will agitate against it. Apart from this, many intellectuals of Dalit-Bahujan class have condemned strict action, condemning the incident.
