Rajpal yadav cheque bounce case: Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav has got a big relief from the Delhi High Court in the check bounce case. The actor has been allowed to attend the Melbourne Film Festival to be held in Australia with a condition. From 27 June to 5 July 2025, you will participate in the promotional programs of their upcoming film Mera Kale Da Yaar.
The Delhi High Court said in clear words that Rajpal Yadav will be allowed to go to Melbourne under certain conditions. Among them, a fixed deposit receipt (FDR) will have to be deposited in the court registry. Also, your mobile number and email ID will also have to be submitted, which should be operational all the time during the foreign trip.
Allowed to go abroad with these conditions
Rajpal Yadav has also been instructed by the High Court that his passport deposited in the trial court should be given to him for traveling abroad. But after returning to India, it will have to be deposited in the court again. Rajpal Yadav was sentenced last year under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881. He and his wife filed a petition against this sentence in the Delhi High Court.
What is the whole matter?
In June 2024, the court, assuming his sentence, was banned that he is not a serious criminal and there is a scope for improvement and solution in his case. The court had suggested both sides to find the possibilities of mutual agreement, which is currently under consideration at the Mediation Center of Delhi High Court. Let me tell you that in 2010, Rajpal Yadav took a loan of Rs 5 crore for his film ‘Ata-Patha Mapata’ as a director, but he could not return this amount. After which seven different complaints related to check bounces were filed against him and many people.
In this case, the Karkardooma court sent several notices to Rajpal, but he did not appear in the court. In 2013, he was sent to judicial custody for 10 days. He spent four days in jail from 3 to 6 December 2013, after which the Delhi High Court bench suspended the sentence on his appeal.
