According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to heavy rain in many parts of Uttarakhand in the next 24 to 48 hours. Due to this, the danger on Chardham Yatra routes has increased. There are incidents of landslides and road jams on roads leading to major pilgrimage centers like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
