Aasm XLR 1000 Weapon Working on This New Technology was introduced at Paris Air Show

AASM XLR 1000 is a long distance smart bomb that can be launched from an advanced fighter jet like Rafael. In this, the target can be accurately pierced with the help of GPS and Inspector Navigation System (INS).

Along with this, this weapon also has MK84 bombs, heavy warheads, turbozet engines and dual-mode Sikar with laser and infrared technology, which makes it more deadly.

The Safran company has already given information about the range of this weapon. Aasm XLR 1000 can range from 150 to 200 kilometers, which is three times more than its old version (70 km). That is, no matter how far the enemy’s hideouts are, these weapons will be fully capable of targeting them.

This weapon will be launched from such a height that the air defense system of the enemy should not be caught. Nevertheless, it will be able to destroy strong bunkers, buildings and air defense units accurately. This will not require Rafael Jet to go closer to attack and the security of Indian pilots will also increase.

Aasm Hammer 250 is already being used in many countries, such as France, India, Morocco, Egypt, Qatar and Croatia. But AASM XLR 1000 i.e. its most advanced version will currently be available only for the French Air Force, which will use it in its Rafael F4.1 version. When the UAE will also get the Rafale F4 version in 2027, it is possible that it too will get this deadly weapon.

Even though AASM XLR 1000 will remain with France only at the moment, but India is already using many weapons of Safran. In such a situation, this new system can become part of the Rafale Units of the Indian Air Force. If this happens, the Indian Rafael will be able to fly far and farther than before.
