On the first day of the third Test being played at India vs England Lord’s Cricket Ground, Joe Root was playing on 98 runs. Batting for 98 runs with Ben Stokes, Root ran and took a run, he also wanted to take a second run but the ball went into Ravindra Jadeja’s hands. Jadeja gave him the open challenge to show him the second run, but the route went back back and his fear was also valid.
Root scared of Ravindra Jadeja’s challenge
This is the incident when the route who was playing 98 runs off 190 balls, the day’s game was about to end. The last over was putting Akash Deep, on the fourth ball of this over, Root hit a shot which went into the hands of Ravindra Jadeja standing near the boundary. Root and Stokes completed one run fast and for the second run, the route came to half the crease. But as soon as he saw that the ball is with Jadeja, he stopped.
Jadeja gave an open challenge to the route and pointed out with hands and said that he was shown with another run. On this, the route started to retreat, then Jadeja put the ball down and then said in a gesture that take the second run. Root did not make a mistake of taking a second run and withdraws smiling, due to which he could not complete his century on the first day. Jadeja is counted among the best fielders in the world, so all the batsmen of the world are afraid of him.

Root closer to creating history
The route who has to score only 1 run to complete his century on the second day, he is playing at 99. He will become the player who scored the most Test century as soon as he scored 1 run, who is currently playing. He and Steve Smith currently have 36-36 centuries.
