At the same time, the ED has started tightening the closests of Chhangur Baba. The investigation of ED in illegal conversion and funding case has intensified. ED has got information about seven bank accounts of Naveen Rohra, close to Chhangur Baba. However, information about one and a half dozen other accounts has not been revealed yet. The ED has sought the details of the properties purchased in the surrounding districts including Balrampur and the properties purchased from the Deputy Registrar offices.

The ATS investigation has revealed a big revelation. Jamaluddin alias Chhangur, arrested from Balrampur, used to provide illegal conversions in several districts of Purvanchal. A case has already been filed against these four on 25 May 2023 at Devgaon police station in Azamgarh. A total of 18 people are named in the FIR, including Mohammad Sabroos, Rashid, Shahabuddin, resident of Balrampur, close to Chhangur, and Ramadan resident of Gonda.
These four have also been nominated in the new FIR lodged in the ATS police station. Many other accused of Azamgarh, Mau, Gonda and Jaunpur are also involved in the case. In which Jamgarh resident Awadhesh Saroj alias lawyer, Usha Devi, Panna Lal Gupta, Sikander, Hasina, Kundan Benwanshi, Akash Saroj Mau resident Mohammad Javed, Parvez Alam, Irfan Ahmed, Sabir Ali, Javed Ahmed and Javed Ahmed Ahmed and Jaunpur resident Fayaz were also named.
