Devender Yadav: Politics has become hot after the death of 5 people in two recent building collapse incidents in Delhi. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Devendra Yadav has demanded to fix the accountability of governments regarding these accidents.
He has demanded strict action against the agencies responsible for the dilapidated building due to the two and a half -storey building in the Janata Mazdoor Colony of Seelampur and the metro tunnel in Azad Market. Yadav expressed deep condolences to the people who lost their lives in both these accidents and said that the Chief Minister’s Rekha Gupta not reaching the spot shows their insensitivity towards the citizens of Delhi.
Congress opposed to demand for compensation and question on the government
Devendra Yadav has demanded compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 2-2 lakh to the injured in the Seelampur accident. Also, in the Azad Market accident, the compensation of Rs 5 lakh given by the metro was called ‘insensitive and insensitive’.
He said that the Chief Minister is only busy campaigning, while he has no attention to the pain of the poor of Delhi. He also reminded that 11 people died due to the collapse of a four -storey building in Mustafabad, but no concrete action has been taken so far.
BJP and AAP together accused of giving protection to builder mafia
The Congress leader said that behind the incidents of building falling in the narrow colonies of Delhi, the BJP’s government is responsible for the negligence and neglect of the BJP’s ‘Triple Engine Sarkar’ and the anklets submerged in corruption.
He said that the collapse of only 15 -year -old buildings is a sign of how much the game of ‘Laenter mafia’ has become stronger. He says that the corporation identifies dangerous buildings, but until money is received, no action is taken. Citing many areas including Paharganj, Chandni Chowk, he said that dilapidated buildings are standing in the entire city.
Accused of conservation of corporation
The Congress President targeted the BJP and AAP MLAs for illegal construction in areas like Seilampur and Mustafabad. He said that in the last 11 years, there has been a large number of unauthorized construction in these areas and still BJP -ruled MCD and central government are ignoring it. He described it as a result of dictatorial rule and corruption.
Frequent deaths, but no concrete steps
Devendra Yadav Yadav said that every year officials make a list of dangerous buildings but the action remains zero. Referring to many accidents of the past years, he said that in January, the five -storey building under construction collapsed, with 5 deaths, 11 people lost their lives in Mustafabad in April. They allege that in the last 12 years, MLAs and councilors of both the major parties have created a deadly situation by protecting unauthorized construction.
