If you are dreaming of becoming a lawyer or want to make a career in law studies, then there is a very good news for you. The National Law University (NLU) Consortium has released the entire program of CLAT 2026 (Common Law Admission Test). This exam is conducted for admission in 24 National Law University of the country. Through this examination, students can enter 5 -year integrated LLB and 1 year LLM course.
When will the registration start?
Online registrations for CLAT 2026 will start from 1 August 2025 and the last date for filling the form has been fixed on 31 October 2025. Interested candidates consortiumofnlus.ac.in You can apply by visiting the website. The exam will be held on 7 December 2025 (Sunday) from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Who can apply?
For 5 -year -old LLB course, the candidate has passed 10+2 i.e. intermediate examination. Students of General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO or OCI category have at least 45% marks mandatory. 40% marks are enough for SC and ST class students.
The candidate should have a LLB degree for LLM course. 50% marks are required for General, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO or OCI category, while 45% marks are required for SC and ST category.
What is the registration fee?
The application fee for CLAT 2026 has been fixed according to different categories. General, OBC students will have to pay a fee of Rs 4,000. Students of SC, ST and BPL category will have to pay an application fee of Rs 3,500.
What will happen in the exam?
CLAT 2026 will be an offline, pen-paper mode exam in which questions based on laws will be asked. The exam will be of two hours. Through this, there will be an opportunity for admission in 24 prestigious National Law University across the country.
