The government has suggested major changes in IT Bill 2025, recommending the removal of Section 263 (1) (IX). This means that people with less income from taxable income who file ITR only for TDS refund can now end the compulsion of their filing. Pensioners and FD investors will benefit specially. Note, this is just a recommendation and the bill will have to be passed by Parliament.
