There is a constant news of internal tussle and politics between the three parties involved in the Mahayati government of Maharashtra. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has now taken an important decision regarding the functioning of the city development department led by Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde.
According to this decision, now the files with large amount of money of the city development department will move forward only when the Chief Minister Fadnavis himself will approve it.
How is the shock for Eknath Shinde?
In political circles, it is being described as a shocking step of Eknath Shinde, especially keeping in mind the elections of the upcoming local Swarajya institutions. City development and village development are considered important in these elections in these elections. Among them, the Village Development Department is with the BJP, while the responsibility of the Municipal Development Department is with the Shinde faction.
Through the city development department, funds are given to MLAs and city servants under various schemes. But in recent times, only the leaders of Shinde faction have come to light. MLAs of other parties of Mahauti were angry with this bias and they raised the issue before Fadnavis during the recently concluded monsoon session.
Now the Chief Minister’s Office will also see whether the Municipal Development Fund is being distributed equally in all the districts of the state. Since a big budget is released from this department in the election time, it will be ensured that there is no partiality in it.
What will be the results of this decision?
Now for any scheme under the city development department, where a large amount is to be sanctioned, after the recommendation of Eknath Shinde, the file will go to Chief Minister Fadnavis. And that amount can be distributed only after their approval.
Since the incoming (involvement of corporators of other parties) in the Shinde faction is likely to increase and in such a situation there was talk of openly funding the city servants of Shinde faction but now it will be controlled. There has also been a complaint in Mahauti that only the municipalities with the power of Shiv Sena are given huge amount from the Municipal Development Department, while other parts do not get the requirement. Now this imbalance can stop with the intervention of Fadnavis.
