In the coalition government, the Congress has taken a stand that we will not join the cabinet until the status of full state is received. It is necessary to have coordination in the coalition government. For this, we and Naseer Hussain have been given the responsibility to talk to the leader of the National Conference.
He said, “The promises we have made to the public. He has completed it. But the problem is that today the situation is so bad that the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, who has been elected, stops the police, no file of the government is able to move forward without the approval of LG. In such a situation, to fulfill the promises made to the public, it is very important for Jammu and Kashmir to get a statehood. ”Digvijay Singh said that the Congress party will go to the entire state and will inform people about the situation.
Omar Abdullah’s displeasure
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has openly expressed displeasure over the Congress’ performance. He said on the question of the media that we were not informed about it. If given, we would also support. He also said that first we raised the demand for the status of the full state.
Rajya Sabha election connection
Sources also say that the party has also decided to field its president Dr. Farooq Abdullah and former minister Chaudhary Muhammad Ramadan for the Rajya Sabha. It has also supported the Congress for a possible third Rajya Sabha seat, which the NC-Congress can try to grab the alliance.
However, in the event of any differences with the Congress, the name of Shammi Oberoi, close to party treasurer and CM Omar Abdullah, is also being seriously considered for the Rajya Sabha nomination.
