The news of the collapse of the mine near Jamunia in Dhanbad in Jharkhand has been stirred up. It is being claimed that many laborers are stuck in the mine during illegal mining, but the site has not been confirmed so far, due to which the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) could not start rescue work.
Giridih MP C.P. Many leaders including Chaudhary and former minister Saryu Rai have expressed apprehension of deaths, describing the incident as serious, while the district administration and BCCL (Bharat Coking Coal Limited) have denied the incident.
Leaders made serious allegations
CP Chaudhary staged a sit -in outside the Baghmara police station on Wednesday (July 24) and claimed the death of nine laborers in the incident. Saryu Rai, MLA from Jamshedpur West, described the incident as a conspiracy to ‘cover fresh soil to destroy the evidence’ and said that the death of about 15 laborers is being hidden.
Rai alleged that illegal mining is going on with the connivance of mining mafia, BCCL and police. MP Chaudhary posted on ‘X’ and said that he warned to continue the picket till the removal of the dead.
Rescue work stuck, administration gave clarification
The NDRF officer said in a statement to PTI that “the correct information of the accident site could not be found for a long time, so no relief work could be started.” After this, DC Aditya Ranjan of Dhanbad confirmed that NDRF has been sent to the place mentioned, but no evidence of collapse of any mine was found there.
Explain that a 33 -member team of NDRF has been deployed for relief work on the spot, which is being headed by the officer Santosh Pathania. Along with this, BCCL’s Mines Rescue Team is also present on the spot and is ready for joint operation.
Concern of families of missing laborers
Meanwhile, four laborers are missing from Tarattand area of Giridih who left for Baghmara. 35 -year -old Aziz Ansari, Afzal Ansari, 32 -year -old Dilip Saheb and 30 -year -old Jamshed Ansari have been identified. Family members say that they used to work in mines, but the police did not let them go to the spot.
Controversy deepened, opposition raised questions
‘All Jharkhand Student Movement (AJSU) MP alleged that when he reached the spot, the coal mafia opposed him in the presence of the administration. He alleged, ‘When a public representative can be treated with such a manner, what would happen to the common man is unimaginable. It has also been reported that the mouth of the mine was closed overnight by the mafia, so that the matter could be suppressed.
JD (U) leader Saryu Rai said that illegal mining is worrying despite the huge deployment of CISF in the coal sector. At the same time, BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev alleged that the administration is trying to suppress the accident. So at the same time, social activist Bijay Jha claimed that the road was closed overnight by the mafia so that someone could be prevented from going inside.
