There is a good news for government employees. Taking a big decision, the central government has announced to give him an additional 30 -day leave. Union Minister of State for Personnel Dr. Jitendra Singh gave information about the holiday on Thursday. According to a PTI report Central government employees get 30 days of earned holiday under service rules, which they can take for personal reasons. He gave this information to the Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question.

He informed that under the Central Civil Services (Holiday) Rules, 1972, a central government employee gets 30 days of earned leave, 20 days’ half salary leave, eight -day casual leave and two days of disrespect.

Now old parents will also be able to take leave for care

Dr. Jitendra Singh was asked whether there is a provision of any special holiday for the care of the old parents for the central government employees. Giving information about this, he said that all these holidays can be taken to the central employee for personal reasons, including the care of elderly parents.

Government employees get these facilities

Under CGHS, government employees and their families get cheap medicines and treatment. CGHS facility can be availed even after retirement. Women are given 6 months maternity leave and men are given 15 days of patternament leave. Government employees get graduation and PF facility after retirement. Under the New Pension Scheme, some money is deducted from salary every month, which is received as pension.

Explain that the central government will soon implement the 8th Pay Commission. This will be applicable from 1 January 2026. This is expected to increase the salary of employees. The basic salary of Level-1 employees can increase from 18000 to 51000 rupees. However, official information has not yet been received about this.
