Additional charge for the post of General Manager of BMC has been given to two different officers, which created confusion. In the order issued by the Municipal Development Department, Ashnivani Joshi has been given additional charge, while Ashish Sharma has been given this charge in the order issued by the General Administration Department. Now that in a single day, two different officers have been given the responsibility for the same post, the question is arising as to whose order should be followed.
In fact, this post was vacant after the retirement of Best General Manager Srinivas in Maharashtra. On Tuesday (August 05), the Urban Development Department under Eknath Shinde and the General Administration Department under CM Fadnavis took out an order in this regard by recommending different names for the additional charge of Best General Manager.
- Department of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde took separate orders for the same post
- For additional charge, two departments ordered the names of different officers
- In the government order, the Urban Development Department asked Ashwini Joshi to hand over the additional charge of the Best General Manager of Best

Inner conflict over the appointment between Shinde and Fadnavis!
At present, the matter clearly indicates that the internal struggle is going on between the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister over the appointment of officers. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has the General Administration Department (GAD), while Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has the Municipal Development Department, but now the functioning of the government has been raised due to the issuance of two orders for the same post from these two departments.
