The name of the woman who created a new history in the country’s security system is Inspector Adaso Kapasa. Adaso, who hails from Manipur, recently came into the limelight when a picture of him with Prime Minister Narendra Modi went viral. This was not a common picture, as she was in the uniform of the country’s most special security unit SPG (Special Protection Group) and that too as a female commando.
Adaso Kapesa, the first woman to be involved in the security of the Prime Minister, became the SPG commando. This is not only for them but for the women of the entire country and especially for the daughters of the northeastern states.
What is SPG?
The SPG is a specific security unit for the protection of the Prime Minister of India and his family. This unit works under the central government and special training is given to its commandos. It is very difficult to join this unit, because it contains testing at both mental and physical levels.

Adaso Capsa belongs to a small village “Keebi” in Cinepati district of Manipur. He is from Mao Naga tribe. After studies, she joined SSB (Sashastra Seema Bal) and worked in the 55th Battalion of Pithoragarh (Uttarakhand). It was from here that his journey reached SPG. He proved himself not only with his courage but also with discipline and hard work.

How to make SPG commandos?
There is no direct recruitment in SPG. In this, only those who are working in any paramilitary force such as CRPF, CISF, SSB or ITBP. After selection, they are given special training which includes topics such as weapons training, martial arts, bomb defuse, secret mission and mental strength.
How much is the salary of SPG commandos?
According to reports, attractive salary and allowances are given to SPG commandos. Their monthly salary can start from 84,000 to 2.4 lakhs. Apart from this, they also get special risk allowance, dress allowance, travel allowance and health facilities.
