Maharashtra: Shiv Sena-UBT’s big shock before BMC elections, Vitthal More resigns after meeting Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) has suffered another setback. The party’s deputy leader and a long time -active leader in Belapur assembly constituency, Vitthal More, resigned from his post on Wednesday. He took this decision at a time when he attended an important meeting on Uddhav Thackeray’s residence ‘Matoshree’ in Mumbai a day earlier.

Name printed in ‘Saamana’, I was not told- More

Vitthal More expressed displeasure over the activities happening inside the party in his resignation. He said that a new list of officials appeared in the party’s mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ on Wednesday. But they were not given any information about it.

Government also made serious allegations

Along with resigning, More made serious allegations against the Mahayuti government of the state and especially Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. He said that the government is targeting him politically.

More said, “On the orders of Eknath Shinde, my hotel was raided thrice at midnight. The Municipal Corporation and the police together took action against me, while there was no unauthorized construction.”

Impact in Navi Mumbai politics

Vitthal More has been active in the Belapur region of Navi Mumbai for the last 10 years and has a good support base in the region. In such a situation, his resignation will not only affect the local politics of Shiv Sena (UBT), but the internal discord of the party has also been revealed.

NCP was included before Shiv Sena

Let me tell you that Vitthal More joined Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) in the year 2012. Earlier he was part of the NCP party. In NCP, he was given the post of Auditorium leader. Despite this, he was dissatisfied with many policies of NCP.

He later resigned from the post of Auditorium leader of NCP, after which he was sidelined. Gradually, More went to cut off from NCP meetings, meetings and other activities.

Significantly, BMC elections are near and in such a situation, his resignation is like a shock for the party.
