Farooq Abdullah, the Chief of the National Conference and former CM of Jammu and Kashmir, raised the issue of giving full state status to Jammu and Kashmir in the India Block meeting held in Delhi. The Prime Minister promised the statehood- Farooq Abdullah

On Friday (August 8), on the hearing in the Supreme Court on the petition demanding full state status to Jammu and Kashmir, he said, “We will wait to give a decision in our favor. The Prime Minister and the Home Minister have promised that we will give the statehood.” The former CM said that all the parties of India alliance will support us.
