Netanyahu said that our weapons have been used at the ground level and they performed well in Operation Sindoor. His statement reflects the depth of the Indo-Israeli defense partnership. This cooperation is not only limited to technical supply, but it also includes joint development and technical transfer. DRDO and Israel Aerospace Industries jointly developed Barak-8 development, which is an important step towards India’s defense autonomy.

The Barak-8 is a long-range surface-to-air missile (LR-SAM), designed to prevent air threats, such as fighter aircraft, helicopters, anti-ship missiles and UAVs.

Harpy drone weapon to eliminate enemy’s air defense
Harpy is a lietering monuishan, which has been developed to destroy the enemy radar system. Its specialty is that it is perfectly suitable for SEAD (Suppression of Enemy Air Defenses) mission.

Radar-ciking technology: Identifying the radiation emanating from the enemy’s radar and attacked it.

Long operational period: The ability to remain in the air for 9 hours.

In Operation Sindoor, Harpy Drone cleared the way for the Indian Air Force and missile defense system by inactivating the enemy’s radar system.

India-Israeli defense partnership and strategic importance
Israel is fourth among the major arms suppliers of India. In the last decade, India has imported defense equipment worth about $ 2.9 billion from Israel. This includes radar, UAV, missile system and electronic warfare equipment. India buys weapons from all countries of the world. Russia is on top in this. India buys weapons worth $ 21.8 billion from Russia. Apart from this, France, America, Israeli Series: 5.2 billion, 4.5 billion and $ 2.9 billion weapons are purchased. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s self -sufficient Bharat Abhiyan, India is working on reducing dependence on foreign supply and increasing indigenous weapons. Projects like Barak-8 are milestones in this direction.
