The post of ASP in India is an admission level post for IPS officers. According to the 7th Pay Commission, the basic salary on this post starts at Rs 56,100 per month. Apart from this, many facilities like dearness allowance, house rent allowance, travel allowance, medical cover and education allowance of children are also available. The monthly salary of ASP, including all these, reaches between 1.10 lakh to 1.50 lakhs, which can be slightly up and down based on the city and experience of posting.

These facilities are available
After becoming ASP, not only salary increases, but the scope of government facilities also increases. They get government accommodation at good location in the city, a car is provided with the driver for duty, and along with them security is provided to the family. Under health facilities, free or concessional treatment is available in government and panel hospitals. Apart from this, many types of holidays are also given in a year, so that the authorities can remain mentally and physically fit.

How much will be salary?
Anuj Chaudhary’s salary as CO was in pay-band of 56,100 to 1,77,500 under the 7th Pay Commission. But if ASP is created, you will get the benefit of increase in allowance and progress in grade. It is believed that his monthly salary will increase by about 15,000 to 25,000. This increase will make them financially strong and will also bring positive changes in their lifestyle. The post of ASP is the first place to reach high positions in the Indian Police Service. Moving from here, officers can also reach high positions like SP, DIG, IG and DGP.
