The recent order of the Supreme Court regarding dogs has launched a debate across the country. The court has clearly stated that stray dogs should now be kept in the shelter home and they should not be left in the open on the roads. People’s opinion is divided on this decision, some are appreciating it and some are expressing displeasure. Now Ritika Sajdeh, wife of Indian ODI team captain Rohit Sharma, has also spoken on this issue. He has expressed his special love for dogs on social media.

What did Ritika say?

Ritika shared the story on her Instagram handle on Tuesday. Ritika wrote, “They call it a danger, we call it a beating. Today the Supreme Court said- remove every stray dog from the streets of Delhi-NCR. Neither incense, nor freedom, nor the faces that they see every morning. But they are not just ‘stray dogs’. These are the ones who are waiting for the biscuits outside your tea shop. Happily shakes their tails.

Ritika further wrote, “Yes, there are problems- cutting, fear of safety- but closing the entire community in a cage is not a solution, but erasing. The right solution is to erase. The right measures? The right measures? The right measures? Mass sterilization campaign, regular vaccination, community food sites and adoption programs. Not punished, not imprisoned. A society that cannot protect its bezubans, he is losing his soul today. Do not share it.
