Kunal Kamra News: His lawyer’s statement has come in the Kunal Kamra controversy. The comedian’s lawyer said that when the video was released, Kunal Kamra was already in Tamil Nadu. He was recording there. Therefore, it cannot be said that he ran away.
Speaking to news agency PTI, Kunal’s lawyer said, “We went to Madras High Court. We demanded inter-state anticipatory bail. We told that in such a situation it is not possible for them to appear before the police in Mumbai. The circumstances there are not good. ”
Kunal Kamra was in Tamil Nadu before FIR
The lawyer said, “The video recording took place in February and posted on 23 March. He had gone to Tamil Nadu long before the video was posted and was recording there. This situation was accepted by the Supreme Court that he is capable of getting anticipatory bail. We showed the court what kind of threats they are receiving. These things were kept in mind. It was an open threat, everyone knows who is giving and what will do. Not hidden from anyone. ”
Mumbai Police will have to go to court on 7 April
Kunal’s lawyer said that the court accepted our point and has given him relief from arrest till 7 April. However, now we have come to know that three more FIRs have been registered against him in different areas of Maharashtra and all three have been transferred to Khar police station. Last night, the High Court said that if we send a notice to the Mumbai Police, we have made a mail in which the petitions are attached and all the documents we presented in the court are also. We have made Tamil Nadu and Mumbai Police side. We have asked them to come to court on 7 April.
