Vladimir Putin congratulated President Murmu and PM Modi on Independence Day, said- India honored all over the world

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday (August 15, 2025) on India’s Independence Day. India is celebrating its 79th independence today. Putin in his message praised India’s development and his role in solving international issues.

Putin wrote that India has achieved recognized successes in many fields including socio-economic, scientist, technology. India has respect all over the world and he plays an important role in solving international matters.

In a message sent to President Murmu and PM Modi, Vladimir Putin said, ‘India has achieved widespread-recognized successes in socio-economic, scientific, technology and other fields. Your country has proper respect on the global platform and India actively contributes to the resolution of major issues under the international agenda.

He further wrote, ‘We give immense importance to our privileged strategic partnership with India. I believe that, through our joint efforts, we will continue to increase bilateral cooperation in different fields. It is fully associated with our friendly behavior and the interests of the people of both the country. It is helpful in strengthening the safety and stability of both countries at the regional and globally ‘

Vladimir Putin greeted India on Independence Day at a time when the debate between India and America is going on about Tariff and today he is also going to meet US President Donald Trump in Alaska. This will be his first meeting with Putin after Trump became President for the second time, which will be mainly talked about ending the long -running struggle between Russia and Ukraine.

If this meeting is successful in achieving its goal, then the US can remove the 25 percent of the tariffs imposed on India due to the import of Russian oil. However, this meeting between Putin-Trump is not attending Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsci.

Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio wished India on Independence Day. In his message, he also mentioned working with both countries in future. Referring to the historical relations between India and America, Marco Rubio wrote, ‘Historical relations between the world’s largest democracy and the world’s oldest democracy are extremely important and far -reaching.’
