The Asia Cup 2025 pass is coming, and like every time, claims have started from Pakistan to defeat Team India. This time this claim has been made by Pakistan team’s high-performance director Aqib Javed, who believes that without Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, Pakistan Squad Asia Cup can beat India.
For the last four times, Pakistan team has not been able to beat India in multi-hold tournaments. These four necklaces of the Pak team, 2023 Asia Cup, 2023 ODI World Cup, 2024 T20 World Cup and 2025 Champions Trophy have come. The Pakistan Squad selected for the Asia Cup does not have big names like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Nasim Shah and Shadab Khan.
Team India received threats
Aqib Javed announced the Pak team for the Asia Cup. While announcing the squad, he said, “This team has the ability to defeat India in the Asia Cup. Whether you believe or not, India vs Pakistan is the biggest match in world cricket. Everyone knows this. Our squad can beat any team. Every player is ready.”
If there is an India vs Pakistan match in the Asia Cup, then it will not be just a cricket match. In fact, this will be the first time that the cricket team of both countries will be face to face after Operation Sindoor, which was run by the Indian Army after the Pahalgam terror attack. For these reasons, especially this Indo-Pak match will be associated with the feelings of Indian fans.
When will India-Pakistan match be held?
India and Pakistan are placed in Group A of Asia Cup 2025, in which Oman and UAE are also present. Team India and Pakistan are scheduled to fight on 14 September. If both teams qualify for the Super-4 phase, then their second match can be played in the Asia Cup on 21 September.
