The fourth T20 match played between India and England is very special for Akshar Patel. This will be Akshar Patel’s 100th T20 match. Akshar is very excited about this match. In the video shared by BCCI, Akshar Patel said, “When I played the first T20, I did not think that I would play 100 T20 matches for the country. The England tour is very special for me.”
In the BCCI video, Axar Patel said, “When I played the first T20 match, I did not think that I would play 100 T20 matches for the country. The England tour is very special for me. In the second T20, I completed 100 wickets and the fourth T20 will be my 100th match. This is a very special day for me. I am enjoying this moment very much and feeling very good.”
Akshar further said, personal achievements are often discussed, but this achievement belongs to all those who have supported me throughout my career. Actually, as a player, when you achieve something, I feel it is not about me. I am not achieving this alone. You know, I have my teammates, my coaches, my family. So, I think everyone has played a role in my journey.”
Let us tell you that Akshar Patel will become the fifth Indian to play 100 or more T20 matches for India. Before him, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav have done this. Patel said that there has been a lot of change in me as a player since my debut. You learn with your mistakes. I would also appeal to the young players to accept their mistakes and improve on them.
32 year old Akshar Patel started his T20 career on 17 July 2015 against Zimbabwe. Till now, apart from scoring 746 runs while remaining unbeaten 19 times in 62 innings of 99 T20 matches, he has taken 101 wickets.
