Madhya Pradesh: 5 girls missing from Umaria government hostel, written in Chitti- ‘I want to be something …’

A shocking case has come to light in Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. 5 students of 8th grade suddenly went missing from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Girls Hostel located in Ginjari area of Pali city of the district. When the girls did not reach for breakfast on Sunday morning, the whole incident was revealed. After this there was a stir and the police was immediately informed.

How did the matter come up?

Hostel’s assistant warden Sarika Sharma said that on Saturday night, the students had participated in the Janmashtami program and also ate food. Everything seemed normal. But the next day i.e. on Sunday morning, when the time of breakfast came, five girls did not come. When they were searched, the hostel rooms were found empty.

Police formed special investigation team

District Superintendent of Police (SP) Nivedita Naidu said that a special investigation team (SIT) has been formed to search for girls. The team has immediately started investigating the area. Police deployment has been increased in bus stand, railway station and surrounding areas. Apart from this, CCTV footage is also being investigated.

SP Naidu has said that the police is making every effort to find the girls as soon as possible. All posts from district headquarters to neighboring areas have been alerted. Bus stations and railway stations are also being monitored.

During the investigation, the police got a note. In this letter, a girl wrote that “I want to be something, I want to earn and eat, so I am going.” It is clear from this letter that the girls themselves must have left the hostel on their own. However, the police is currently investigating all aspects.

Families accused of negligence

Families of missing girls have made serious allegations against the hostel management. He says that the hostel’s gate was broken and there was no boundary wall. He also claimed that the CCTV cameras installed in the hostel were closed for a long time. Family members allege that if there were strong security arrangements in the hostel, then this incident would not have happened.
