India and America’s forces are going to perform the biggest shared exercise so far amid the tension that started due to the tariff dispute and the mediation dispute in Operation Sindoor. The 21st edition of the annual ‘war-existence’ between the two countries is going to be held in Alaska next month.
According to the information, the exercise in Alaska from September 1 is considered to be the biggest version ever. 400 soldiers of the Madras Regiment of the Indian Army are going to participate in this exercise, which is the highest in military exercises so far.
Last year, there was a maneuver in Rajasthan
Since 2004, there is a continuous exercise, one year in India and one year in America. Last year, this exercise was held in the Mahajan Field Firing Range of Thar Desert in Rajasthan. Before that it was done in Alaska.
Due to Operation Sindoor (7-10 May), there has been a tremendous sourness in relations between India and America. US President Donald Trump claims that the credit for stopping the war between India and Pakistan goes to the US, but India has made it clear that the operation was stopped due to the Pakistani DGMO’s bearing. In such a situation, Trump’s anger is on the seventh sky and he has announced to impose 50 percent tariff on India.
Trump’s maneuvers between tension
There was a big rift in relations with India when Trump invited Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir for lunch at the White House. The US Army’s exercise with the Indian Army is considered important amidst increasing proximity to Pakistan.
Recently, the Western media published the news of cancellation of defense deal from America on India, stating the reason for tariff war. Also, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh’s visit to America was also claimed to cancel in this month (August). The Ministry of Defense, however, had termed any such news as sheer baseless.
