Giving another important advice to the selectors, Sunil Gavaskar wrote that Test cricket should be made a primary format for Bumrah. He wrote, “Now the selectors have to decide whether it is more important. Qualification is more important for the World Test Championship Final or playing in a bilateral white ball series, which will not have any special impact. If India has to do well in WTC, then Jaspreet Bumrah should always be the lead bowlers and they should always play four Test matches during October-November.”
