Union Roads and Transport Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said during the Business Standard Infrastructure Summit that he is working on improving the public transport system in India.
He says that the government is working on a plan to run ultra modern electric bus, in which passengers will have the facility of coffee, tea, fruits and cold drinks. Work on this project is currently underway by collaborating with Tata.
Plane will be just like a plane
As far as the fare of this bus is concerned, its fare is expected to be around 30 percent compared to diesel buses. On one hand, there is an attempt to make public transport bus state -of -the -art and comfortable, on the other hand, its purpose is to make the journey of passengers pleasant and memorable.
Emphasizing the use of Artificial Intelligence, Nitin Gadkari said that he is also considering the use of AI to build tunnels, bridges and roads.
AI’s help in hilly areas
The Union Minister also said that AI will be used to deal with these things in the hilly areas, especially in Himachal and Uttarakhand. Significantly, the use of AI in the country and the world is increasing rapidly. In such a situation, Nitin Gadkari hopes that its use can lead to radical changes in road infrastructure.
