PM Modi Private Secretary: IFS Nidhi Tewari has been selected for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Private Secretary (PS). According to the order issued by the Department of Personal and Training (DOPT), Nidhi Tiwari has been made the private secretary of PM Modi.
Nidhi Tiwari is an officer of the 2014 batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS). She was working in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO). Nidhi Tiwari was posted as Deputy Secretary in the PMO. In the order of DOPT issued on March 29, Nidhi Tiwari has now got a big responsibility as private secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
What is in Dopt’s order?
The order issued by the DOPT said that the appointment committee of the cabinet has approved the Prime Minister’s Personal Secretary. He is currently working as a deputy secretary in the PMO. This order is applicable with immediate effect.
Nidhi Tiwari is posted as deputy secretary of PMO
IFS Nidhi Tiwari was made the deputy secretary of the PMO in November 2022. Before joining the PMO, she was the Under Secretary in the Ministry of External Affairs (Mea) in the Division of Disarmament and International Security Affairs.
