Eight people died in a horrific road accident on Saturday morning in Daniyawan of Patna district. While six people are injured. The accident happened when all the people were going to Fatuha from Nalanda to take a bath in the Ganges. On the way, a high speed truck hit the auto. The collision was so severe that the auto flew away.
Truck driver escaped with vehicle
After the accident, the truck driver escaped with the vehicle. Local people informed the police, after which the police reached the spot and started relief and rescue work. The injured were taken to the nearest hospital, from where they were referred to Patna in view of their serious condition.
The incident is being told that all the people were residents of Rerry Malma village located in Hilsa police station area of Nalanda district and this morning they were going to bathe in Ganga in Fatuhan. All are residents of the same village. A truck collided with a truck near the UltraTech factory, in which seven people died on the spot, while one person died in a hospital.
At the same time, the body has not been raised even after three hours. Patna City SDM and administrative officials have arrived on the spot, but the local people demand that the truck along with the driver who has hit the Hiwa truck should be present. After that, let the body be lifted.
The district administration is busy in understanding the people. Hilsa MLA Krishna Murari Sharan also reached the spot and has demanded one lakh compensation for the families of each deceased. There is an atmosphere of tension at the scene.
Treatment is going on in Patna
There are seven women and a man among the dead. Six people are injured, who are undergoing treatment in Patna. The dead are being identified. The police is investigating the entire case. The search for the absconding truck driver is also going on.
