South Zone has declared its squad for the Dilip Trophy. The team’s captaincy has been received by Tilak Verma, who has also been selected in the Indian squad for the Asia Cup. Famous players like Devdutt Padikkal, Sai Kishore have also got place in the team. But the South Zone has announced the squad against the BCCI policy, under which the players coming in the central contract were also to be selected. KL Rahul, Washington Sundar and Mohammad Siraj are also excluded from South Zone Squad Duleep Trophy.
BCCI had advised the state cricket associations to select the players coming to the Central Contract about a month ago, but the South Zone has not done so.
