Online Gaming Bill Effect: The sponsorship of Dream 11 with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) can end. According to reports, the Indian Fantasy Sports Platform has spoken to the BCCI and in this meeting, the matter of separation from the jersey sponsorship deal is coming out. The deal between Dream 11 and BCCI was $ 41 million i.e. Rs 358 crore.
Deal finished between BCCI and Dream 11?
The deal was done for three years between the Board of Control for Cricket in India and Dream 11. In the year 2023, this logo was seen on the Indian cricket team’s jersey and this deal was to continue till the T20 World Cup 2026. According to the information received from the sources to the Reuters, this is a deal in which no will not be out of the deal. The valuation of Dream 11 is about $ 8 billion. According to the new law of the Government of India, whoever brings such sports in the market will be sentenced to three years in jail. According to the new law, on promoting such sports, two years of jail sentence and a fine of Rs 50 lakh will have to be paid.
BCCI took action
Speaking to the Times of India newspaper, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said that the BCCI will not do any work that does not allow the law of the Government of India or the country. Devjit Saikia said clearly that ‘we will not violate any law of the country’. It is clear from this that India will have to look for a new sponsor for Team India’s jersey before the Asia Cup starts.
