Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan recently met the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief, after which there was speculation that he could become the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party after JP Nadda. Shivraj Singh Chauhan said on this question, ‘I want to say one thing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has entrusted me with the responsibility of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Rural Development Ministries. At this time, agriculture is in my Rome and the farmers are in my breath.
He insisted, ‘I have only one goal. How to increase agricultural production, how to increase the income of farmers, how to develop rural areas and how to make more millionaires. Let us know that ‘Lakhpati Didi’ is a member of a self -help group (SHG) whose annual domestic income is more than one lakh rupees – which is one of the government’s favorite projects.

I am the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. I am doing this work like worship. Serving farmers is worship of God for me and I want to keep doing this worship.

66 -year -old Shivraj Chauhan, who has been a four -time Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, is a prominent leader who comes from the Other Backward Classes (OBC). Chauhan has been the vice president of the BJP’s national unit and has led the Youth Branch, Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) two decades ago. Even more than a decade, when the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi was emerging on the Central Political Forum, his name was also included in the race for the post of Prime Minister’s post. After winning the BJP in the November 2023 assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chauhan moved to New Delhi and became a member of Modi’s cabinet.
