A shocking case has come to light from Jhadol area of Udaipur in Rajasthan. 55 -year -old Rekha Galbelia gave birth to her 17th child on Tuesday (August 25). Rekha has given birth to 16 children so far, but 4 of them had passed away soon after birth. Right now many children in the family are alive, 5 of whom are married and have their own children.
Rekha’s daughter Sheela Calbelia says that she always faced difficulties due to such a large family. Sheela said, “When people come to know that our mother has so many children, everyone is surprised. We have to struggle every moment.”
Family burdened with debt
Rekha’s husband Kanlabelia, Kalabelia, lives the family. He said that to run the house, he had to take a loan from moneylenders at 20 percent interest. Kanvara said, “I paid millions of rupees, but the interest still could not be paid. It becomes difficult to fill the stomach of the children.”
The family does not even have his own house. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, he was approved the house, but due to his non -name, he is still homeless.
Children missed education
Due to financial constraints, the family could not even provide education to their children. Kanvara said, “We have neither enough means of eating and drinking, nor for the education of children. There is a lot of trouble in marriage. Everyday problems break us.”
Truth hidden in hospital
Dr. Roshan Darangi, a gynecologist at Jhadol Community Health Center, said that when Rekha was admitted to the hospital, the family denied his medical history. He said, “Initially the family said that this is his fourth child. Later it was revealed that it is the 17th child.”
