Rinku Singh is playing a different level of cricket after selection in the Asia Cup squad. He played a century in a stormy style of 108 runs in 48 balls against Gorakhpur Lions in the UP T20 League a few days ago. Now on Wednesday, he has scored 57 runs in 27 balls against the Lucknow Feelaqs for Meerut Mavers’. He played 3 fours and four sixes in this innings played at a strike rate of 211.
Rinku Singh came to batting when Meerut Mevrix lost the third wicket for 73 runs in the 10th over. From here, Rinku along with Rituraj Sharma added 94 runs in 49 balls. Thanks to this partnership, Meerut’s team reached beyond 200. After Rinku was dismissed, Hrithik Vats wreaked havoc and played a cameo of 35 runs in just 8 balls. Hrithik hit two fours and four sixes in 8 balls.
This great performance of Rinku must have been increasing the concern of team management before the Asia Cup 20025. It will be very difficult to prepare the best playing eleven in the Asia Cup for management. Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Verma, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya seem to be confirmed in the top-5. The team cannot drop Akshar Patel, in such a situation only one batting slot remains empty, that too for the wicketkeeper. In such a situation, it will be very difficult to bring Rinku into the playing XI.
Rinku Singh is raining runs
In the UP T20 League 2025, Rinku Singh has so far scored 199 runs in five innings at an excellent average of 49.75, including a century innings. It is also worth noting that Rinku has a strike rate of 177 in the current season. Rinku is currently the third highest run -scorer for Meerut Mevrix in the season. Ahead of them are Swastik Chikara (223 runs) and Rituraj Sharma (209 runs).
