Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said on Thursday (August 28) that he, his entire cabinet and all the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLAs have decided to donate a month’s salary for flood relief work in the state. Bhagwant Mann said that Punjab has suffered a lot due to the outbreak of nature and this is a time when all Punjabis should unite to support each other.
Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said that he is paying a month’s salary to help the flood affected people along with his ministers and AAP MLAs. The state government and administration are fully committed to help people in this hour of crisis.
Let me tell you, there is a severe flood situation in many districts of Punjab, where the Sutlej, Vyas and Ravi rivers were in spate and large parts of the villages and agricultural land situated on their banks were submerged.
