Actress Shamita Shetty’s Bollywood journey was not easy at all. Despite a great start in ‘Mohabbatein’ with veterans like Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, he was surrounded by flop films, unfinished projects and continuous comparisons with his elder sister Shilpa Shetty. Initial projects that have never been released

Shamita said in a conversation with Pinkvilla that shortly after her Bollywood debut, she Sanjay Dutt, Chandrachud Singh and R.K. Four films were completed with Madhavan, but all these films were never released. Shamita told that due to the absence of these films, her career got a big shock and the pace of her debut slowed down.

The actress’s recent film ‘The Tanent’ also faced difficulties in making her mark. After several delays several times, the film was released in only a few theaters and very little publicity was found.

The actress told that she keeps contacting the film maker and casting director herself to get an important role. He said that there is no shame in expressing his wish for work, and it shows his patience and strong intentions.

On comparison with Shilpa Shetty, Shamita said this

When he was asked if he had ever harassed him compared to his elder sister, Shamita said that it used to happen earlier, but not now. He said that it was difficult for her to make her own identity due to Shilpa’s growth in the shadow of success. While Shilpa was considered ‘holy and ideal’, Shamita was often called ‘spoiled’. The actress told that this caused a lot of confusion in her and she could not understand what she should become.

Search for your identity over time

Shamita told that the challenge of creating her own identity has been from her childhood. But gradually he learned how important it is to adopt himself. Today she feels confident about her identity and says that now her comparison with her sister does not affect her.

Shamita further explained that in childhood, she rarely spoke openly about the impact of comparison with her sister. But over time, they found this comparison meaningless. They believe that every person is unique, even if they are in the same family, and she considers herself and Shilpa to be completely different personality and features.
