Where did John de Mol get the show’s idea from,
John de Mol was attracted by the role of a novel by English writer George Orwell. John thought that if his show is prepared like the world of the ruler of this novel, it would be very interesting. Actually this novel was written in the year 1949 ‘Nice AT Four’.
In this novel by George Orwell, the blueprint of a fictional world was drawn which a ruler controlled. Orwell wrote the story ahead of his time and this character was not only very strict but like a dictator. It is from here that John D Mol got the concept of his show.
The show was telecast for the first time in the year 2000
A show was prepared by keeping ‘Big Brother’ at the center, which used to monitor the antics of every participant every moment. For the first time in the year 2000, it began to broadcast on Channel-4, then the ratings of this show were thatch. It was broadcast at a 24 -hour live feed at that time. After this, it continued continuously till 2010. Later in 2011, Channel-5 bought its rights and it was relaunched.
