A heartbreaking incident has come to light near Bannerghatta Resarv Forest on the outskirts of Bengaluru. Manju Prakash (41), a software employee here, died when he was bitten by a snake hidden in the slippers outside the house. Manju Prakash was working from home for the last several days and was on a week leave.
On Sunday (August 31, 2025), Manju came out of her house to drink juice and wore a slippers kept outside the house. After some time Manju Prakash came home. He gave the mother a packet of juice and then went to sleep in the house room. He did not know at all that the snake is hidden in his slippers.
Manju Prakash’s feet had been condensed
According to the family, the sensation of his leg was lost in an earlier accident, due to which he did not even realize the snake bite. The laborer doing construction work near the house saw the snake in the slippers and informed the family. When the slippers were taken out, the hidden snake was dead in it.
The mother went to the room and wanted to lift the son, but by that time Manju was getting foam out of Prakash’s mouth and he had died due to snake poison. The family immediately rushed him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The family and the surrounding people were shocked by this sudden incident.
Breeding time for snakes
Experts say that poisonous snakes still have breeding time. In such a situation, snakes are coming out in search of food and warmth. Therefore, before wearing shoes and slippers, always look carefully that there is no creature and animal hidden in them. This small vigilance can avoid a major accident.
