In the sensational case of beating the second year student of BA-LLB in a car hostage in a car at Amity University Campus, Lucknow, the police have registered a case against the accused student Janhvi and her friends. Jahnavi Mishra and her friends brutally beat up the summit and made the video of the incident viral.
The victim’s father Mukesh lodged an FIR at Chinhat police station on Friday 5 September, in which Jahnavi Mishra, Ayush Yadav, Milan Banerjee, Vivek Singh, Aryaman Shukla and another person have been named. Police has started the investigation of the matter.
What is the whole matter?
According to information, the incident took place on 26 August in the parking of Amity University. It is seen in the viral video that Jahnavi Mishra and his partner Shikhar are hostage in the car and slapping them. The victim claims that the attackers slapped him 26, abused him in one and a half minutes and broke his mobile phone. The video was allegedly made viral on the college groups and social media by the accused, due to which the summit is mentally hurt and has stopped going to college.
Fir And legal action
The Chinhat police filed a case under Section 351 (2) (assault), 352 (nuisance), and 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code on the complaint of Mukesh. Sho Dinesh Chandra Mishra of Chinhat police station said that CCTV footage and viral videos are being examined. The Lucknow police confirmed on its official X handle that interrogation of all the named accused has started and action will be taken soon.
Could not go to college since June
Shikhar told that he had a knee operation in June, due to which he did not go to college for two months. From August 8, he was joining regular classes. On August 26, his friend was on the campus with Soumya Singh Yadav, when Jahnavi and his colleagues beat him hostage in a car. Shikhar said that my chat was deleted to humiliate me and the video went viral. The Amity University administration said that a committee has been formed to investigate the incident and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
