The demand for separate sitting arrangement for the rebel Lok Sabha MPs of West Bengal’s once-ruling TMC before the monsoon session has been approved. This approval has been given by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. Besides, this group has also been given a separate status. All these rebel MPs have joined the North-East party NCPI. On TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee’s statement on the approval of Lok Sabha Speaker, Opposition leader in West Bengal Ritabrata Banerjee said, ‘He said this today. What did he say yesterday? He had said that the ‘looters’ ran away due to fear of ED and CBI, and the very next day he is asking the same looters to come back. This is a contradiction. He should have resigned on May 4 itself, taking responsibility for the election results. He could not even go to give his voice sample for fear of being thrown an egg. He is such a great leader, yet his ego knows no bounds. He should resign from the leadership of the party and then say such things.
Apart from this, he has said that the Speaker in the Lok Sabha is the guardian of the House. Therefore his decision is valid. He has taken this decision after considering every aspect. His decision is final.

2031 assembly elections are still far away: Ritabrata
