AB de Villiers (31 balls)- The record for the fastest century in ODI International is named after AB de Villiers of South Africa. Who can forget that blushing innings, when de Villiers completed a century in 31 balls against the West Indies. De Villiers hit 16 sixes and 9 fours while playing 149 runs in that match.
Corey Anderson (36 balls)- The fastest ODI century in the world was named after Corey Anderson of New Zealand for about a year. He scored a century in 36 balls against West Indies in 2014. About a year later, AB de Villiers demolished his record.
Shahid Afridi (37 balls)- The year was 1996, when Shahid Afridi completed a century in 37 balls against Sri Lanka. The fastest ODi century record was named after Afridi for about 18 years.
Glenn Maxwell (40 Ball)- Glenn Maxwell has scored the fourth fastest century in ODI International. He completed a 40 -ball century against the Netherlands in the 2023 World Cup. This is also the fastest century in ODI World Cup history.
Asif Khan (41 balls)- Asif Khan of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) scored a century in 41 balls against Nepal in 2023. He had this century innings while batting on number-7.
Mark Boucher (44 balls)- Another South African veteran in the list. Wicketkeeper batsman Mark Boucher completed a century in 44 balls against Zimbabwe in 2006. Before the arrival of 31 balls of AB de Villiers, the record of the fastest century for South Africa was named after Baucher.
Brian Lara (45 balls)- Brian Lara caught everyone’s attention not only in Tests but also with stormy batting. He scored a century in 45 balls against Bangladesh in 1999.
Shahid Afridi (45 balls)- Apart from Jose Butler, Shahid Afridi is only the second cricketer in the world who has scored a century by playing less than 50 balls in ODIs twice. Afridi made a century in 45 balls against India in 2005.
Jessie Raider (46 balls)- The batting style of New Zealand’s Lefty Stormy batsman Jessie Rayder had created a fear in good bowlers. Her 46 balls of stormy century came against the West Indies in 2014.
Jose Butler (46 balls)- Former England captain Jose Butler has also scored an ODI century in 46 balls. He did this feat against Pakistan in 2015.
